General Code of Conduct
All members and guests must conduct themselves in a manner that promotes a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment at the Lodge. This includes treating other members, guests, board members, and staff with courtesy and respect at all times. Prohibited behaviours include, but are not limited to: verbal abuse, harassment, disruptive actions that interfere with others' use of Lodge facilities, or any conduct that brings the company into disrepute. Members are responsible for the behaviour of their guests.
Complaints Procedure
Any member or guest may submit a written complaint about another member's conduct to the board or a designated complaints officer. The complaint must include details of the incident(s), dates, and any witnesses. The board will investigate promptly and confidentially, seeking responses from all parties involved. If substantiated, the board may issue a warning, require mediation, impose temporary restrictions on Lodge access.
Disciplinary Action
Upon finding a breach of these rules, the board may impose disciplinary actions proportionate to the severity, including:
a) A verbal or written warning;
b) Suspension of membership privileges (e.g., access to lodge facilities) for a specified period, not exceeding 12 months;
c) Reimbursement for any damages caused.
Repeated or serious breaches may lead to a recommendation for expulsion.
The board may recommend the expulsion of a member if their conduct is deemed detrimental to the company's interests, such as repeated violations of the code of conduct, actions that endanger others, or behaviour that undermines the Lodge's orderly management. The process shall be:
1. Written notice to the member detailing the allegations and evidence, with at least 21 days to respond in writing or at a hearing.
2. An Extraordinary General Meeting will be convened with 21 days notice to consider whether it is desirable for the member to continue to remain a member of the Company.
Upon expulsion, the member will be required under clause 40 (c) and (d) to transfer his or her shares to any person approved by the Directors within a defined time period.
